Recognizing the need for multiple avenues of support, University of Phoenix has made academic and support counselors available to students 20 hours a day, five days a week, over the internet, or via phone or chat. Students do not need to leave home or schedule time in their already busy schedule to attend a face-to-face meeting with a support counselor.
Support Services for Applicants and New Students
The first decision anyone faces when applying to University of Phoenix is which degree program fits them best. Since this is not always an easy decision to make, the University offers an online Career Interest Assessment to help incoming students clarify their goals. Enrollment representatives are available by phone to help prospective students identify the best program for their interests during these hours (all times reflect Mountain Standard Time):
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
University of Phoenix also offers a help option for students who are uncertain which department may best address their questions. They just need to select the Request Info button on the University’s website.
Applicants and incoming students also have a lot of questions about financial aid. Because everyone has a unique situation, the University has financial aid counselors available to respond to phone calls between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Students can also find answers to specific financial aid questions by starting a chat session with a staff member of the finance office between 4:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
With much of its student body completing at least some coursework online, University of Phoenix offers technical support via phone or chat seven days a week between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.
