In huge numbers, solar panels are installed at homes and commercial complexes these days. The awareness about saving electricity and using better means of options that are both pocket friendly and environment-friendly are essential for customers.

Solar panels are becoming famous in households and commercial spaces owing to their energy-saving and money-saving capacity. After installing solar panels at heavy commercial places, these places don’t have to pay monthly hefty and big electricity bills. The one-time installation cost of solar panels needs to be borne by the businesses, and after that, they don’t have to pay the electricity bills.

That’s why solar panels are becoming very famous and one of the most installed in many commercial places and households.

In this article, we will discuss the types of Solar Panels and a comparison between them and which should be chosen according to your needs, space, and convenience.

The following are some of the types of Solar Panels available in the market-

    1. Polycrystalline solar panel

This Panel had ranged back for a very long time. It’s been used for many years and is made from various silicons. The panel has experienced technological advancements all these years due to the changing times.

This production is a bit less than others and is also less expensive. A polycrystalline solar panel is dark blue and is made with silicons.

    2. Monocrystalline solar panel

Monocrystalline solar panels can be recognized by their black colour. They have a half-cut column cut between them, increasing the point of electricity production.

The monocrystalline solar panel works more efficiently because they can generate more electricity in less time. Hence, they are regarded as a popular choice among customers.

These panels are not affected by heat, whereas the other boards get affected by heat.

The production process is complicated for this type of solar panel; hence, they are expensive compared to other types of solar panels.

    3. Passivated emitter and rear cells solar panel

Passivated emitter and rear cell solar panels have extra layers that help penetrate more sunlight that has not been able to be passed by other panels. As this panel can give more sunlight than others, it can generate more electricity than the other panels.

These are the panels with newly developed technology and also help in generating more electricity with less time and are also energy efficient.

    4. Thin film solar panels

Thin film solar panels have fewer silicon layers than all the other types of solar panels. They emit sunlight efficiently as they are very thin. Further, they are efficient for generating electricity and cost-effective when placed with other solar panels. They require high space for installation, and the process is relatively easy and feasible.

We have discussed all the types of solar panels here. Now let’s take into consideration some of the aspects before choosing the panel and which one would suit you best with these aspects-

    1. Cost

The cost of all the panels varies as per the quality and efficiency. The one with the budget-friendly price should be chosen by the customers as per the target budget set by them.

    2. Efficiency

The efficiency of all the panels is different owing to their layers of silicon and the other material used in the production. Customers should choose the ones that appeal to them the most.

    3. Power

The power that each panel generates is more or less, and the customer should choose the one that has the power per his requirements.

    4. Space

Space is the most critical factor here. Customers should choose the type of solar panel as per their space.
